Procedures for embryo cryopreservation include superovulation of embryo donors (generally, female mice aged 3-4 weeks of the same background as the embryo donors.), mating of superovulated females to male mice, collection of two-cell embryos, cryopreservation of two-cell embryos, quality control throughout cryopreservation process and storage in liquid nitrogen.

2. Sperm Cryoperservation

Sperm cryopreservation creates a cost-effective and safety way to protect live animal colonies. Cyagen offers sperm cryopreservation service to back up your live animal colonies. Procedures for sperm cryopreservation include euthanizing 2 male mice from each line to be cryopreserved, collection and cryopreservation of sperm, quality control throughout cryopreservation process and storage in liquid nitrogen in liquid nitrogen.
